Speaking Engagements 2016 -2017
2016 presented at the 14th annual Conference & Expo of the Pennsylvania/Delaware/New Jersey Distance Learning Association that was held at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. My topic was Articulate Storyline 101 that demonstrated to new developers how they could begin eLearning in that authoring software.
2017 May 18 Wilmington University's 8th Annual Learning with Technology Symposium. My topic was Tell Your Story with Gamification or Scenarios. This topic was presented to an audience of mainly university level professors who have not yet begun to use gamification. They were interested in what gamification means and how they could start using it. Link to the 2017 list of sessions. I spoke at 11:00 am.
2017 September 22 ATD Midlands of South Carolina 8th Annual Conference held in Cayce, SC. The title of the conference was "Putting a JOLT in training!" My title was Charging up your training with Gamification. I spoke to a divers group of learning and development professionals who were new to the concepts of gamification and training in a corporate environment. Link to 8th Annual Conference information.
Began working with Training Unlimited, LLC in 2017 converting instructor lead courses to eLearning to provide a more convenient method for their clients to retake required training. The first course to be converted is Respecting the Individual which is a course on harassment that people must take every 2 years.
Traveled to Austin, TX to train several staff at Texas Mutual Insurance Company in the use of Articulate Storyline 3. I worked two groups of people for two days helping them get started using Storyline 3 to create their own corporate eLearning programs.
Assisting designers at Roundtable Learning in course design and other functions as they create learning for their clients.
